Secondary meters are supplied as Class 2 with an accuracy of +/-2%. Dependent on the current rating (amps), direct connection or C/T (current transformer) operation meters are selected.

Direct connected meters are also known as whole current meters and can be single or 3 phase supply. C/T operated meters use the current transformer to reduce the current down on a ratio 0 to 5. C/T's may be either mould case, ring or split core versions. Simple class 2 C/T meters may DIN rail mounted for installation in panels or GRP enclosures whereas direct connection meters are wall mounted. Pulsed outputs are standard.

Meters with higher accuracy and multiple outs are also available.
