Meters used for charging or process need to be commissioned after installation, to ensure their correct operation and installed accuracy. Periodically (preferably annually), commercial and industrial meters should be checked to ensure they are still operating to specified standards and our specially trained staff can check, verify and issue certificates for all meters supplied by Switch2. We can commission and operate automatic meter reading systems for all types of commercial/ industrial and domestic metering systems by M-bus.

We at Switch2 believe that all heat meters installed in dwellings must be correctly commissioned by specially trained, experienced staff. The meter can be used to read volume flow rate and can be utilised in the correct and accurate balancing of a group, communal or district heating scheme. Comfort can be gained in the knowledge that the meter used to charge a domestic customer has been checked by trained personnel and are both accurate and security sealed against unauthorised access. Annual checks and planned preventive maintenance are also vital parts of a successful scheme. Automatic meter reading systems provide meter interrogation and bill production without the need for access to individual properties.
